Not quite the high word counts of some of my fellow chrons, but I'm trying to stick with it.

Inish Carraig, 70643, which sounds like a slow week but the focus has been on the first two parts, and I now have 28000 which are edited and close to being finished.

Which feels like a success at this time on a Friday! Going to go make some moules marinere for the kids and put my feet up, and spend a bit of time over the weekend figuring out exactly what I want from the next 15000 or so words.

80,693 as of two seconds ago but I've come to an abrupt halt cos I've ballsed up the POV. Well, not ballsed it up exactly, just managed to get myself into a position where the character I need to use for the POV is currently indisposed.

I used to delete when i edited but now ii start with very sketchy drafts and add depth with each write through whilst also tightening individual scenes if that makes sense?

I expect it to get up to the 85000 mark (i hope!) it's topping 70 at the moment with the fleshing out if the last chapters.

And ty, so do i, its staying in love with it that keeps us going through the editing/ rewrites, i think.

Having just deleted forty thousand words I think your approach sounds like a good one, perhaps in the future it will save me a little time.

I unsure what keeps me typing, I think its just a need to get this story our of my head, in a form that I can be happy with.

Still making good progress, good for me anyway

Need to work through comments I've received. For now I'm pressing ahead to get a draft down. I'm finding my chapters are tending to average 1,100 words at the moment.

Wrote another 365 words for I, Singularity. A rough draft of a rather fun scene where our (super) hero first discovers she has super powers.

I hopefully should be starting to do little bits a bit more regularly, but it's going to be crazy, because following my recent thread of introspection, I'm going to be doing all different things which is going to be... fun:

I've just scanned 10 pages of my oldest work Mercenary, and OCR'd it.

That gives me 3,000 words

It's all really old stuff and will probably classify as a second draft, but just glancing through it I can see a lot of work needs doing (not to mention any funny errors made by the OCR program.

Diana book 2: finished the first and very basic revision and have started outlining book 3. Book 1 goes to a beta reader tomorrow (my lovely mother-in-law), very curious to see what she says as it gets hard to see the wood for all the trees after a while.

I am struggling a little. Inish is up to 72000 word, but i think about 5000 in a superflous character arc will go.

None of this has been helped by fixing a couple of scenes in the Abendau stuff, nd now i just want to go write book 3. I must be strong and resist....

Complete scanning Chapter 1 of Mercenary in and reformatting it (so that's 8650 words), but it does not really count. Now will have to find some time to read through it and make a run of simple corrections from both myself and the OCR

Wrote another 1450 words to the WiP that completes chapter 6 and takes me up to 29,500 words.
