The chronicles word counter!

Commission number two = done! Phew. This one was giving me a headache. Only 823 words and they're supposed to be around 1k but I was pushing to get it to 800.

Written lots of short stories lately, which is nice. A couple have been really voicey, which I love doing in shorts.

As for Shuttered, I think it's still on whatever it was on last time I posted here. I have no commissions to do at the mo, so I can go write for me. Yay!

And yet more simmering while I wait for feedback.

Under Abendau's Sky (working title) has about 30,000 written. Now has a Gantt chart for the four mini-plots (huzzah!) and a plan. Whoo-hoo. Just gotta write it now.

Now changed to Abendau Falling and down to 24,000 words. But it's flowing out of me - three draft chapters today. After about a year of starting and stopping it, I think it's there. Yay!

All characters intact at this stage; mortal danger impending for some of them. :)

Eek! ^

Shuttered is on 46,620. Writing a scene now where I haven't a clue what's going on.

Well with Serkit Santa done, I want to keep it going and have started another project.

Word count so far... 484

48,648 and we're at the beginning of the end. Yay! Might even finish it next week, who knows?

Had some comments come back on one of the commissions, need to add a couple of details so need to work on that.

Had some beta comments back for my YA, so need to work on that too.

Need to fiddle with TBM again.

And... I think that's it for the mo. Oh, I want to edit something I sent to Gary.

Up to 27,000 words and the semblance of a plot. About another ten chapters to draft, so first draft/planning will come in about 35-40. Then I need to go back and revisit the first two books to build some stuff for this one. And add some of the politics that have always been a bit weak. It's fun, though, even if horribly disjointed. :)

Still going, however slowly.

now that i've started my second attempt at writing in earnest, i thought i'd join in on here to keep track...

The 25th Hour

Urban Fantasy (i guess.... still not sure just what that genre entails!)

Started 15th September

Status 11792 words

Title - In Gold
Genre - Romance(attempted) with a little but of 'beyond normality' thrown in
Word count - 43, 916
Start date - 5th June 2013
Status - Going fairly slowly still, but well (i wanted to get in on page 100 though:D) The chapters are roughly planned (though writing them always brings out the little details to add in) I'm currently through 15 and a half chapters of a planned 21, and hope to be finished with the first draft by the time my final uni year starts at the end of the month. I estimate around 65k words for this draft.

Word count - 58,366
Start date - 5th June 2013
Status - First draft is complete, and perfectly intime with my plan:) The bones are set, and ready for the tissues to be added. Notes have been taken for scenes that need specifics included in them, and will be hit in the re-draft. As with all of my projects the enthusiasm tapered off towards the end, as I began my new excitment for my next projects. Re-draft will be fairly soon I think, depending on if I enter the Richard and Judy comp with it... If not, I have a writing module to focus on and several projects to choose from that have been left aside for a year or more. Let the editing proccess begin.

I've not been so good recently, but here's what I have.

"The Many" - 23k.

Untitled, 1.5k - An idea I've pinched. The idea is what it takes to shoot into a crowd of protesters as a cop/soldier. I'm going to spin it up and make it odd by throwing robots into the mix. It should be a short, short at around 5k but could be longer, wait and see.

Don't put yourself down. Any writing is good writing. The short sounds interesting btw. :)

Mine is still growing, for now! My average per chapter has now dropped to under 1k. I'm concentrating on getting the story down and will flesh it out on next revision.

New short story...around 1,100 words. Not bad, I do have the premise all set out.
