Very good nixie definitely a special mention for fantus, a funny character

indeed.

But I will have to agree with garreth jacks, Martin has to be the best character, in the Riftwar Series anyway. I do think Jimmy the Hand could be a bit over the top a lot of the time tho.

Why does every body like Pug and Tomas they have this very bad syndrome it is called the superman syndrome.

The superman syndrome means that the person is over powerd, Pug and Tomas are clasic examples, who the hell is going to stand in the ring against them

A more powerful person. Garreth Jacks is right. because now he has to create a really powerful character to stop them and then they have to become more powerful and so on and so on.

I agree pug and tomas have got 2 powerful.

my favorite characters r jimmy the hand erik and roo avery.For the same reason as was mentioned earlier.they are normal people thrown into extradonairy circumstances and just have to do their best to deal with what life has thrown at them.I also liked nakor he was funny as hell.

The Best character has to be Milamber! He rules! I dont mean Pug though ebcause he gets really stupid!

But I still prefer Sparhawk to any of the characters in the Riftwar or serpent war

What do you mean??? Pug is Milamber and so they are the SAME! As either person Pug has great powers and uses them when needed.

I have a few all time favorite charecters I like Pug, for obvious reasons...
Calis he is such a colourful chap isnt he...
Jimmy the hand for the reasons you mentioned lacedaemonian, you just said it perfectly!
I wanted to go into detail why I like these charecters but well everyone before me has done it first...

Actually I have read only the Rift War series so my characters come from that. And to be quite honest I cant find any I dont like. I suppose my favorites would be Pug,Martin,Arutha,Amos Trask,Jimmy the Hand,and of course Thomas.

Nakor for his lunacy. Jimmy the hand for obvious reasons. Pug also, for being the kitchen boy who became the greatest magician ever.

the obivious is lord james(jimmy the hand) but only when he was older, talon I like and also amon trask brought a smile to my face. I was never a fan of pug though

I think its these cool minor characters which make the main characters more interesting and the books more memorable.

Who can forget Hokanu, or Kasumi, or Katsumoto? I love all those characters we get views at but dont get to see all of them...so tantilising....

I think Katsumoto was the name of samurai leader in The Last Samurai?
