Can I just get a brief poll of sorts here, so I know it isn't just me:
Can I assume we all agree Nakor is without a doubt the most refreshing and comical character in all of Feist's books?
I also really appreciate the growing use of Pug's rather dry, sarcastic humor. Like in the end of King of Foxes, when one of the Lords says "I am suprised you remember him (Ambassador Rachman .... Hazara-Khan)...that was over a century ago," and Pug just looks at him and says "I age well." I think I couldn't stop laughing for at least 10 minutes, and find myself quoting those lines quietly to myself to this day.
However, I don't know if this is just me, but it seems like after Feist basically killed off everybody from the Riftwar through Sons of Krondor series, he seemed in a major rush to introduce bunches of new characters. And most of them didn't seem to really work out. I will still crack open Magician or Silverthorn or Darkness at Sethanon just to get a little bit of humor out of Arutha (the original), Jimmy the Hand a.k.a. Duke (or squire) James {ESPECIALLY OUT OF HIM...HE'S ALWAYS FULL OF WITTY HUMOR}, Martin, Amos {GODS, I MISS HIM}, Kulgan and Tully {YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THOSE TWO}, and occaisionally Gardan, Lyam, and Kasumi. Actually, I miss Kasumi a whole lot. And the only other two I failed to mention, that I felt wounded to my heart to see die, and in such non-chalante ways: Katala and Locky. WHY DID HE HAVE TO KILL THEM OFF SO EASILY??????
