Who are your favourite characters?

I think his Demonwar characters in general are some of the best he's written

As has been said before their are many likeable admirable or memorable characters but my favourites so far (Riftwar, Serpent War, Krondor the Betrayal, Conclave of Shadows and Flight of the Nighthawks) are Baru and Martin.

There is something particularly appealing about these two (quite similar in many regards characters) both are taciturn honour bound men of great skill but without any special powers and a great deal of good sense.

I wasn't entirely happy with the old Martin in the The King's Buccaneer, I think he became something of a doppleganger of his father with his oftentimes severe nature that and never getting over the loss of his wife.

Still killing off Briana in that fashion was a great way to get me incredibly pissed off at the villains of the piece.

That's good writing though, afterall, don't most of us eventually become more or less, facsimilies of our parents? Whether we like it, or not.

Yeah, the kind of guy that carries a packet of Werthers Originals around

I actually cannot stand Tal. I'm not sure why, but I can't.
Favourite? Gamina, or possibly Locklear. He was cute. I cried when we found out he was dead. So much worse that it was off-screen. Grrr.

Talon of the Silver Hawk is definately my first love because he was the character I started out with[i didnt read in order] and he got all the girls. Then Id have to say as soon as I hit the Rift War it would have to be hands down Duke James and Prince Arutha, they were unmatched in being fun to read yet unatural in there ability to rule and know what to do next. Throw Erik vonDarkmoor in there as a Feist great for good measure because he was so fun to read because he was so human and normal yet he was great at the same time. I think the fact that he never knew he was great is was sold me.

I read through this thread and I think (as odd as it sounds) that everyone is right. My favorite Character changes depending on what book I'm reading. Obviously I like Nakor, but I think it's the fact that not much is ever really revealed about him. And he always seems to know what to do or bits of information he shouldn't really know.
For Example, yesterday I finished reading The Kings Buccaneer so I really like Prince Nicolas as a character. :D

Pug, Tomas, Arutha, Amos, Martin, Calis, Erik, Roo, Miranda, Jimmy the hand :) and I could continue

The best, my absolute favourite is Nakor especially in parts of the Serpent war saga. (got some funny looks reading them on the train because I was laughing so much oops!)

Gothic x

So far my fav are the young Pug and Arutha in Magician.

Pug i found boring when he grew up to become the clichèd magician master, the great one.....
