Honestly, why does George R.R. Martin hate his readers so?

Ha ha ha, you know, he must be so sick of fans asking him that if he didn't hate his readers before he probably hates them now!

Isn't their a horn the Widlings have that will destroy the Wall, if they haven't got it yet they were looking for it in the frostcrags.spire/march? (whatever it's called).

Plus if the Others are destroyed by dragon magic there will be no need for the Wall

Oh yeah, that's right, Tansy. I'd forgotten all about that. I knew there was a good reason why I believed the Wall was coming down.

I just finished some research into it. They found the Horn of Winter and it was used to summon the giants that Mance Rayder had with him during his attack on the Wall. Apparently the Horn can also be used to destroy the Wall but Mance didn't want to use it for that purpose since then there would be no protection from the Others. Mance wasn't coming south to conquer; he was actually running from the Others.

I couldn't find anything about the Horn being destroyed during Stannis' attack. As long as it's intact there's always the chance that someone is going to use it to bring down the Wall. It's going to happen!

Maybe Mel is gonna get her hands on it :)

I actually think Jon will use it to bring down the Wall - maybe it's a last ditch attempt to destroy the others and the wall coming down is a unfortunate side effect

I think the wall couldhave something to do with the extended winters, an effect of its magic perhaps

I think Tansy might have nailed a pivotal plot point that he'll reveal later on. The wall causing the strange seasonal issues. Brilliant!

I definitely think that Jon is the main character to the series with Bran a close second.

On another issue, if Bran isn't going to play a huge, super role... and the same goes for Arya... I'm going to feel a little cheated.

I think people underestimate Sansa. She's been passive for too long, she'll stand up and make a difference soon methinks.

I believe the Starks are going to play a major role inthe shaping of the new Westoros, as it started withthe Direwolf prediction so it will end with the Starks back in the North. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the ruling family at the end.

Bran will become an important character as he is about to learn some serious skills. Sansa will get one over on littlefinger but not sure if she will be alive at the end. Maybe she will end up as the Hand :D that would be a surprise lol

Arya is going to one dangerous young woman and I wouldn't want to be her enemy.

Rickon will resurface and the wolves will play a part at the end, particularly Nymeria and her pack.

I think the wall is linked to the others in someway, maybe it's magic sustains them, while it exists so will they.

I'm in the mood for making wild predictions

Those are pretty tame predictions by Chrons standards. ;)

I agree that the remaining Starks will play a major role in the events to come. I also hope that Arya and Nymeria can reunite, but I'm not sure that will actually happen. I think Rickon will create some kind of havoc, but what I can't say.

Of course I am a fan of the Starks, so may just be hoping they play a major role and get some kind of 'happy ending.' :)

I'm also in the mood for hyperbole :)

Nymeria will make a reappearance but not sure she will be with Arya, maybe her connection to her pack brothers?

Also if the wolves reflect teh stark children.. does that foretell Arya bringing an army of her own?

Maybe Davos tames Rickon :)

Maybe not necessarily bringing over her own army but I could definitely see her as a great leader of many people.

Arya with an army?

She's the most individualist character in the books.

an army of self :D

wasn't the best thought through one I must admit

Rickon's too young to make any difference.

But maybe several years will pass by the time we get to the end of the books?

mel could bring ygritte back in a power struggle for the wall to use against jon, and jon would be forced to kill her causing his sword to become light bringer

after all everyone so far kissed by fire has returned and he did spend some time detailing her hair ... connection????
