Well the decision here, was betwixt a funny one... or one of the gems like Teresa's or Mouse(too sad ) or Judge...and I have to go with something funny..so Digs, Marvin, Alchemist, Karn, Culhwch, Reiver, others...
This had gotta be the best overall batch yet- don't want to make a list because it would be too long.
Digs/Cul...(flips coin) ...dang it landed on it's edge!

Well decision time has arrived, and I'm torn. As TJ mentions above there are just too many excellent ones to choose from... in fact all of them are excellent, so it's going to come down to taste...

Argh! I told my brother about the challenge and he wanted to read my story so I linked it to him and without telling me that he was going to do it he voted for it!

So if in the very unlikely event it matters, I have one less vote than the results say I do! Apologies for the mistake, he's a bit of a silly sausage sometimes. Hey, it runs in the family!

I finally went with Hoopy's story because not only is it well written, but I love the different interpretation; it really got my attention.

Honorable mention should go to all, because I really do think this month everyone was on thier game for some reason. Brilliant stories!

Initially, I thought it was going to be easy: Karn made such a great start, and then Xelah followed, and TheEndIsNigh, and Digs - all great stories, and choosing between four shouldn't have been difficult...

But then J Riff and Mosaix posted and it got harder. Stormfeather's story still sends a shiver down my back each time I read it, and Chrispenycate's limericks are great. BookStop's story had me smiling long after I moved on, and Teresa's entry was making choosing ten times harder...

Reiver's contact made me smile laconically, and RSliwinski's clever story as a late entry along with Who?'s has made it almost impossible to choose! Again!

At the moment I haven't got the faintest idea who I'm going to vote for. Each story has it's own merits making comparison very difficult.

Haven't had the time to compile an extensive list of faves this month, but I know my winner. So here's my shortlist for the potential winners (in no particular order):

As usual the content (or more precisely, the manner of it's interpretation) is clear to the writer, but not so much to others. If I remember to, I'll explain (that there's really not much to explain) after voting is closed, but I'm confident it fits the theme.

That's interesting, I never considered mine to be funny, but I guess it could be interpreted that way.

I love Hoopys take on the topic, but the child in me took over and my vote went to Karn.

Thanks for the mention Talysia, although (unless it's a thing with the poll that you cant see your own name... in which case... my bad ) mine hasnt made the final vote (not that it was going to get any )
