Perp man - Thank You for your review! Glad you enjoyed my take on this ..No future in it tho'!;)

Wonderful stuff this Tudorpunk!! Splendid variety already, once again...(and judging by all the above discussion, more to come)
...and on Tudor dragons, isn't there a huge cave under Pembroke Castle?

Maybe Stuartpunk next..? We could have New Model Army serving in the New Model Army!

I've done 'most 'zactly that, although I have an entirely different kind of green in mine. I swear I posted before reading the above - I guess it's just too much of an obvious thought! My apologies Eric, if you were seriously thinking of going for punk Henry.

I've always hated you, StilLearning! Now I know why! :D:D

Nah, I wasn't giving it any real consideration. Especially now that you've done it far better. I have absolutely no clue what to do.

Interversus – A rather twisted take on things where it seems reality is turned on it’s head. Rather than the rejection of God getting you burned it is the other way around, science is the be all and end all, and in denying it for faith... well. Also loved the names, I’m not sure how far I would stake on getting them right, but Sid he seemed quite vicious to me.

Luiglin – There’s an awful lot to love in this tale, where we get to see another side of Leonardo, or Leonard if this document is to believed. I loved the humour, the way it was presented was just spot on, and for some reason the choice of the name Derek just made it even more gigglesome.

PM – As always, the rhyming is exemplary, and the story just perfectly fitting within the words. I just loved, more than anything we see an alternate history taking form, with the additional plus to being told that in the final line. It worked so well it once again put me in awe of the consummate skill PM has with these things. (One of the reasons you’ll rarely see me waxing poetical in these challenges... Looks ahead... oops.)

FeedMeTV – A snapshot of history that could be at any time in a man’s life. It easily catches the hatred and oppression that one man can feel for they system he finds himself under, and it gives us the undefined moment, it could be before the attempted destruction of Parliament, it could be after in an alternate reality where it happened... makes you think.

Ratsy – A very good interpretation of time travel. When someone is handed an out of context description of events to come, how hard would it be to truly understand what is being said? And if someone arrived from the future dressed oddly, speaking in a slightly different tongue and obviously talking about horrific things, the best thing to do is deal with the witch quickly. But the great truth is that things often make sense only when you have all the information.

Cheers for the review Perp. I've always thought the name Derek strange, it feels to me to be a name that exclusively belongs to older men (I'm sure that Dereks out there pop into existence on their 35th birthday).

Apologies to any Dereks out there.

As to the patent pinching Leonardo, the story was influenced by a real life purported tale of a world wide and life changing invention that was equally stolen.

Actually, I think they live in America until then, because the only Dereks (and Darricks and Daricks and Derricks) that I can think of are boys and young men! Except for Derek Jacobi, and, well, he's British. :D

Thanks for the kind review Perp.

StillLearning, I enjoyed yours very much! Made me giggle :D

Thanks for the Review Perp. I know I cannot explain the story more at this time but I had to do some serious online researching to find something relevant....doubt anyone will really know what I am talking about!! haha...

I'll be very interested to see what it was all about ratsy, I have a few ideas and it will be interesting to see how close I am.

Or how far away.

Some great entries so far. Lola , I really like the way you've presented yours as fragments of a parchment - very neatly done.

I think I shall have to just assume that everybody is in genre for this one, or go mad. This month is for those who grew up with the Tudors as history, not those of us who have to go look it up to see what years are included and which monarchs were Tudors and which were something else.

Usually I don't like to have to do research to understand a story, as it's part of the Challenge to get your point across clearly, but if I'm going to have to research everyone, I'll just skip it and choose more viscerally.

TDZ - I think I went mad shortly after reading the challenge!

...i think it's interesting how much discussion '...what is Tudor?' has sparked; yet '...what is punk?' - which can be so many things to so many people - still seems to be up for the asking...!;)

Which is a very good question: "What is punk?" I've been operating under the assumption that punk is a "anything goes, the wilder and less mainstream the better" kind of attitude. But .... I could be so wrong!!

in the case of punk genres I always thought it was giving a modern feel or perspective to the time or place in question.
punk music sets out to clear the room of all those not open minded enough to get their lyrics by setting them to 'abrasive' instrumentation or melodic line. So I want my punk genres to be winking at me from behind their period masks.

one expects to see modern ideas or equipment as it would have expressed or invented then.
