Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013 -- HAREBRAIN WINS

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Hmm. 47 entries and still time to post. That's healthy!

I'm looking forward to sitting and reading through the whole month's entries.

Then I have that 300 worder to consider; I have an opening line but haven't really opened the gates yet!

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Quite, Brev! Kittens!

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Victoria Silverwolf, thank you for the review. What part did you think was a tall tail?, the story or the title?
Bob

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Thank you for that kind review, Starbeast. :)

You're welcome Abernovo. Good stuff.

Thanks Starbeast. When the challenge is finished, I'll post a picture of him...

You're welcome Boneman. There is such a cat? I'd love to see em' Boney.

When you're stuck in a thread, the way out is obviously a stitch in time. :)

Ahh, another slice of tasty goodness from your mind's pie.

Starbeast!!!

Thanks for the review and sorry I'm a bit late with the thanks.

You're very welcomed. No worries my friend, I'm very patient.

Starbeast, thank you very much, it's my goal in life to keep you laughing.
Bob

You're mighty welcomed Bob. Keep you coolness.

TheDustyZebra - Excellent and spooky story, about a secret invasion of the kitty-cat kind. Nicely done!

Phyrebrat - Very cool read, like a pulp detective novel from the past. Furry fantastic!

Ursa Major - Mee-wow! You brought back two characters I enjoyed. Amusingly delightful cat treat.

Brev - Like squishing a thousand kittens in a phone booth, you give us a complete supernatural tale. Awesome!

The Judge - A dazzling poetic rhyme which paints wonderful imagary of a far-out feline. Marvelous!

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

I really liked loads of these, but my shortlist was --

Lenny
Bob s. senior
Hex

But, I had to go for the tall tale that was .... The Mewling. And now I need to pm Harebrain and find out what did happen...

And in voting I lost my 100% score which caused lots of excitement on waking! Thanks, DEO!

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

So many to like this month... I loved springs' TS Eliot borrowing, Talysia's, I thought I was going to vote for The Mewling, but then came Phyre's Feline Fatale with "...more curves than a Fibonacci spiral; a golden mean of blonde." As soon as I read that, I knew.

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Verse, I liked your post.
Juliana, nice.
Parson, a regular mention with me and again this month.
Luiglin, funny.

PM, very good and a vote contender for me.
Springs, you were considered for a vote and were in the running right to the last, and it was not just Ming and RAY GUNS!
For the ultimate polisher this month, waiting no doubt to the last moment to post is The Judge, and my vote.

You've every right to feel put out, and I was very flattered with the references, and I luv RAY GUNS, as I'm sure your all sick of hearing about. You got pipped at the post, last knockings, the final jump etc.

I tell you what, if you can get my mate Yoda in next month, it's a vote for you.

It was good, Springs, I liked it.

Your welcome, Juliana.

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Firstly, thanks for the mentions, Hex and Johhnyjet! You've made my afternoon.:)

Ok, on to the voting. It's been another tough month to choose, and I've really enjoyed going through all of the stories. My shortlist is:

Culhwch
Luiglin
Parson
Tactical Loco
Bowler
mosaix
The Spurring Platty

And my top three is paranoid marvin and Perpetual Man, with my vote going to The Judge.

Well done everyone!:)

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Thanks for the very short listing Talysia!

Made my day

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Ditto and Ditto to what Perp said for the memtion. Thank you so much, Talysia.

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

It's a very tough choice this month. I note the voting is spread all over the place, too. No short list, but my vote goes to:

"Return of the Baron" by EloiseA

In my opinion, the most original use of the theme.

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Bowler 1 -- Thanks for the short listing. And then saying I'm a regular mention! Boy my day is going swimmingly

Talysia -- Thanks for the short list.
