Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

BetaWolf - You've created a very cool feline creature, which is filled with mystical powers of supernatural cosmic sweetness. Excellent.

Thank you. :) You should see her litter box.

Heh heh. Neat, tidy and odor free I hope. You are welcome, and nice to meet you.

Glisterspeck - Now that's what I call a tall cat tail. Very well executed and entertaining. "Look Snowball, a mouse." (BOING!) That's great. :D

EloiseA - You injected Baron Munchhausen into your fine feline fantasy, very cool. Marvelously written and fun to read.

Moonbat - An incredibly delicious cat tale served cold and tastefully outrageous. Delectable and darkly delightful.

Yeah, let's just leave it at that. :)

Nice to meet ya, too.

Thanks for the reviews Victoria and Starbeast! You're doing a great job!

I'm enjoying catching up reading all the stories. I'm impressed with the variety shown!

Tons of great feline tales, it's going to be difficult to choose, but there can be only one. Thanks for enjoying the reviews AJB.

On another note, I've come up with a couple more "kitten tall tales". This usually happens after I've posted, I submit a story I'm happy with, then days later I begin to formulate more ideas. Too bad we can only enter a challange once, but it's cool. :) I always file the extra ideas for another month.

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

I've not been reading a lot of these this time round but I've just spied Moonbat's. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Cheeky git.

As if I'd let someone else near my chocolate sundae.

:D

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

It is meant to be a tall tale, Mouse. (Though perhaps not as tall as that sundae.)

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Now it all makes sense. :p

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

:0 I didn't want to point it out as its against the rules to explain your own story before voting closes, so thank you Ursa.

Jastius - Very cute cat story, with good dialogue between Sam and Red about a kitten that was bargained from the Tooth Fairy. I loved the idea of the tiny kitties that played music. I listened to Fur Elise afterwards (really).

Mosaix - Gather around for a grand tale from Dan about some small, but ferocious furries that protect his property. I like the pub atmosphere, the accent of the narrator and the spooky description of the feline terrors.

Kromanjon - A sweet cat treat. There is a little furry kitty standing his ground in an arguement. An adorable confrontation, which reminds me how cute it is when animals vocalize their feelings, along with almost human expressions.

I believe it's within the scope of my official actions in this sub-forum to remind Chronners of the specific nature of the current month's challenge, which is, I think, all I did.

I hope. :)

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Thanks for the comments, Victoria Silverwolf and Starbeast. To get across the idea of a accident-prone adventurous kitten as the Baron Munchausen (teller of tall tales) in 75 words was probably too ambitious for a first challenge, but I liked the dubious vet and embarrassed pet owner accused of having Munchhausens by proxy. Kittens can be such a handful --

This is a real challenge of a topic and I liked some of the cool -- if not chilling -- angles taken on it.

Eloise, we refrain from anything that can be seen as an explanation of our stories until the voting is over. :)
