Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Culhwch -- a clever bit of anthropomorphism

Luiglin -- an amusing joke within a joke

barlennan -- original and surreal

Parson -- a rousing, jolly folk song

TacticalLoco -- a creative new myth

AJB -- a twist on the stories told by old-timers

johnnyjet -- an unusual science fiction version of the theme

DavidEvilOverlord -- a droll, whimsical tale of the future

chrispenycate -- manages to be both cruel and tongue-in-cheek

Lenny -- very darkly humorous

Glen -- a funny use of horror movie descriptions of a familiar "monster"

J Riff -- depicts a scene many have experienced through feline eyes

Bowler1 -- a strong contrast between the innocent and the macabre

Thank you, Starbeast and Victoria for your comments. Cruel, me:D? Marshmallow all the way – no, don't stick me over the fire to toast, that's for Amerlocs.
Um, Starbeast has seemed to like my writing style for several of these challenges, but sanity has never been considered a prerequisite for these fora…

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Managed to get something together and get it up. I was not sure what to do as I'm distracted with other writings at the moment and was determined not to miss a challenge.

I've really enjoyed the other entries so far, and know it's going to be hard to choose a vote at the end. It's reminded me how useful the comments are in making my decision, but I'm not regretting taking the month off - I'd never have finished the first draft of the WiP if I hadn't. :D

Your comments are always welcome buddy, but not at the cost of your writing. I couldn't imagine not doing some writing each week. So don't worry about reviews, get on with your writing.

Re: Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE April 2013

Thanks Bowler. I know the feeling about writing, and am really pleased with what I've managed to do!

But I have missed the comments and will be back next month. :D

You're welcome Chrispenycate. YES, I have been enjoying your stories, some of them were featured finalists for my choice of winner. And as for my sanity.....I'm just crazy to be amongst the fine folk here. :D

What a pleasent surprise to have you with us. Hoo-ray! Now let's begin with you.

Perpetual Man - Cute little Missy becomes the fluff of legends, as her story becomes larger as it snowballs from the mountain of imagination. Well done sir.

BetaWolf - You've created a very cool feline creature, which is filled with mystical powers of supernatural cosmic sweetness. Excellent.

Hex - You brewed a fabulous spicey kitten tale. Wonderfully written about an adorable cat named Flopsie who is a protector of the world. Good stuff.

HareBrain - A humorous story being told about, "The Mewling". Terrific conversation, I chuckled when the characters mentioned the word count. You left me wanting to know more about....The Mewling. Nice.
