Discussion -- August 2014 75-Word Writing Challenge

TheEndIsNigh -- The author considers the difficulties that will arise from impending advances in technology.

Robert Mackay -- This sensitive story captures the human heart in conflict with itself.

Starbeast -- With the energy of a classic animated cartoon, this rollicking tale provokes giggles.

BigJ -- This fable of the furture reflects on terrible situations of our own time.

revier33 -- In a powerful way, the author reminds us that some dilemmas have no good answers.

Parson -- In stark terms, this story presents the difficulty of determining if we can escape from the wrongs of our past.

David Evil Overlord -- This allegory of justice shows us that logic is not enough to judge human failings.

HareBrain -- The author creates a masterful symbol of guilt and its relentlessness.

TheDustyZebra -- This clever and amusing tale reveals how truth can often be the best lie.

chrispenycate -- By uniting prose and poetry into a whole, the author demonstrates good intentions and their consequences.

The Judge -- A formal structure is used to convey the gravity of a tragic situation.

holland -- Like a ritual chant, this work of free verse summons deep emotions.

Culhwch -- This suspenseful tale reveals the immense responsibility that one person can have.

Ursa major -- With a sardonic touch, the author examines the darker possibilities of our creations.

Thanks for putting on your shortlist, Victoria. And a massive thanks for the vote, CC! :)

I`m going to be in trouble for not voting in a minute, even worse not thanking you all for mentions and comments.... so thanks. I did try and like everyone who mentioned my little story, but could not find a REALLY like button for Bowler.

Thank you Phrye and CC. :)

Between stories, in the lull, might I drum up some more stories for our anonymous 100 word challenge. Theme is That Old Chestnut, genre is speculative. Go on.... Make it lively and fun and hard to choose. Pm entries to me, I'll pop them up, count the words, put up the poll (feeling guilty, Ratsy;)), you just need 100 little words. Pleading eyes. :)

Hang on I have a vote?? Its a ninja vote I think but whoever it was thank you very much. My first vote. I am so excited I may wee! :)

** edit: Thank you Flyerman11 for the vote and thanks for the honourable mentions from those who have done so for my story.

Oh yeah, forgot about that problem. :p Trust the blue blob, TEiN, trust the blue blob!
:)

Lenny: I'm too busy avoiding 'going into the light'.

However, yes it does work. But to be honest I hadn't seen the blue blob until you pointed it out. - Eye failing matchsticks starting to hurt, my chair cushion has lost it's softness: the piles are killing me etc.

Hey someone voted for me : Thanks Seredipity.

I went for Flyerman II.

Thank you Phrye and CC. :)

I know not this feeling of guilt! I only made a suggestion. It was the people here who made said suggestion a reality. (Okay, a little guilty...but I'm on holidays in New York City so I have limited access to the web) Thanks for the couple of mentions and I will vote before the 28th!

I'm going to a play tomorrow with Michael Cera (for anyone who likes Arrested Development) and Keiran Culkin (Maukalay Culikins brother) so that should be cool.

Be back soon :)
