I love the SS challenge; I don't, though, know if 'challenge' is a correct way of describing SS (there's no voting a winner as with the 75 & 300 words challenges), but I'm writing stories longer than I ever imagined possible, so there is for me a great deal of--truly inspirational--challenge involved with SS.
My story though has spiralled out of control again, at least from a word-count perspective. I've got 6k written, and it's barely more than the outline, and roughed-out sketches for a number of scenes. I have no idea how long this will be! (How does a person actually write a story targeted at 1,500 words? The rush of ideas doesn't seem to allow that!
)
Now, that said, there's no guarantee that I will have, say, 10k words of
quality writing at the end of this, but I'm trying very hard to create a tale that my story recipient will enjoy. It seems as though there's all the time in the world left to finish, but I suspect writing deadlines approach at a gallop, and not a trot. Well, I'm off now to the forest, to harvest wood. Hope you all are doing really well with your stories! CC
