DISCUSSION -- January 2015 75 Word Writing Challenge

Oof so glad voting was extended, nearly missed it - got a new schedule so can only lurk on chrons!

But have been watching the proceedings with pleasure and have voted for Ursa Major - A Lie as White as Snow - masterful penstrokes!

I missed entering this month, but I found time to read all the entries today.

The hardest and longest part was trying to bring my list down to 10 (I had 20 when I started) and then choosing one. So here it is:

springs
The Bravest Newbie
Moonbat
Phyrebrat

Anne Martin
**reiver33** - This touching sci-fi won it for me in the end.
Bowler1
Perpetual Man
Glen
Ursa major

Thanks Mosaix and TDZ for the short-listings!

I will try to vote and list today

Wow more votes, Thanks Per and Telford :)
Also thanks to others for the short listings (or long listings)

@springs, yup I'm afraid it is closer but still two just out in front.
Probably not many left to vote now,

looks at poll and faints...
this must be a technical error..
or the universe is imploding and the zombie vampire dragon apocalypse is upon us...
Karn what did you go and start now? You went and broke the universe!
Now if we all get burnt up in a zombie vampire dragon apocalypse, i am just telling you, its your fault..

goes and hides in closet with bag of oatmeal cookies and water pistol filled with holy water...
puts canada post box in front of closet.. any zombies that wander into the post box should be delivered with the usual postal speed of two or three years..

people! dont let the zombie vampire apocalypse descend upon us! VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

(and thankyou for the vote, sancho, deo, mosaix, and karn... )

Many thanks for the Vote, WinterLight. :):)

And thanks for the mentions, TDZ and Remedy. :)

So I've done my list and here it goes

Nigel and Betty - Ashleyene. - A really sweet tale
Love Stinks - Willwallace - Honestly as unlikely as this is, the outcome is quite likely
Harry Lied - Telford - A really good take on the theme with a heavy story, well done
Loves Outcome -Boneman - The old misdirection of something bad to something wonderful, great story in 75 words
The Greatest Love -Perp - A powerful message about the greatest love and sacrifice in the world's history

Ursa Major - A Lie as White as Snow? - This was a fantastic story...giving the mirror depth, you turn a classic on its head. This one gets my vote this month. Well Done!

Parson, any guy that can run 5 miles every day should be able to eat all the donuts he wants to.

Very sadly not true. And it's not 5 miles a day, but 20-25 miles a week. Just by not counting calories and eating a cookie a day on average I gained 20 pounds in 6 weeks. --- Back to counting calories and trying very hard to say no.

Crystal Haven -- I am stunned! Thanks so much for your vote. I can't remember the last time I got multiple votes in a month!

Perpetual Man -- Thanks so much for the short listing. I know the aroma sent you to your baker's. Did you discover something there to sate your tastes?

T.E. -- I cherish your long listing. When I get a mention or better from you I feel like I've accomplished something worthwhile.

Thanks for the long listing Remedy. I was beginning to give up hope.

You and me both, Remedy. The pain of not submitting this month, finally sunk it's teeth into me today. Ah well, at least I have another story on file for an emergency. (sigh - cough cough) Anyway.....and now my short listings.
