DISCUSSION -- MAY 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

Thanks @TitaniumTi and @Shyrka for the kind mentions, and any one else i missed.
Some nice little gems in the mix. Amazing how powerful 75 (prose*) words can be.

*(i know poetry can hit a hefty punch in few words, but prose...a bit trickier)

Thanks to @Starbeast @TitaniumTi @Stable @Kerrybuchanan @Parson for the mentions. I was starting to get a bit dejected after last month.

Big thanks to @Phyrebrat for the vote and for really feeling my vibe; definitely motivated by SW.

I've been watching Star Wars Rebels with my daughter (and Clone Wars by myself; it's a bit dark for a 5 year old). The cartoon series really validate the otherwise disappointing prequel Trilogy. I've also spent nearly 1,000 dollars on Star Wars Lego toys for her...and myself...and my wife enables every bit of it! I came home from walking the dog and there was a Count Dooku minifigure on my desk. She got it on Amazon and the mail lady came while I was gone. My daughter was upset that it wasn't for her, she just got Darth Vader the day before though, so...

Major digression there. Had to share that with folks who would appreciate it, though.

The idea of the misinterpreted prophecy, and what we do about it, is important in fantasy and reality.

Never let it get you down. Everybody here, has had at least one time (or a few) when they've never been mentioned. It's happened to me too. It doesn't mean your story is bad, we all gravitate toward things we like, because we're different with unique tastes.

Oh. And you're welcome by the way for your interesting tale. Keep em' flying.

I did not expect to be typing it this challenge, but - a vote! Thank you so much, LittleStar! Votes are so valuable in these very competitive challenges, and I am truly thankful. Still very close at the top! :)

I have voted, and I did have a shortlist - but seem to have mislaid it (this might be a theme), so don't want to mention any of the runners up in case I miss someone off - but it was a close call between Heijan Xavier and TDZ, and in the end by the whisker of a Zebra's tale went with the latter.

I must admit it's been strange not looking through all the replies for any mentions (and also great - no worries about 'did I do something so bad that no one thinks it's worthy of a mention')

Mods - I did wonder though, my record of entering the challenges has been perfect since I started on the fifth or sixth challenge - does this count as a miss on the stats? :D

And, still Mods, on the previous mention of mine as losing things, although it has been removed is there a copy of my story floating around in a Chrons vault or prison for wrongdoing somewhere? I'm sure I have it... somewhere

Thanks for the mentions johnnyjet & Phyrebrat

Very short of time but its been headless chicken since returning (I am about half way through 1000+ e-mails!) and got distracted by an FA Cup final (well done Gooners!). With deadline approaching I have had a quick re-read and my vote goes to pyan. Very urban, very much fantasy, my home city and The Doctor, what more could I ask?

Back to the grindstone.

In the end I voted for @Tywin. I was unsure at first because although it was far and away my personal favorite, I didn't know if I should vote on such subjective criteria. I thought the flow was kind of poetic though and the punchline was the kicker. Also, the ability of an artist to make subjective connections with their audience is an important, rather essential, skill.
