You've said that alot. And so did I but if someone hasn't read the books thats kind of a big thing for them to read. But whats said is said and everyone MUST read the they are so brilliant ! loved them to pieces ! great work

Nice to see you here, Imperial and Vicky. Glad to see that you're enjoying my work. I think it's fairly safe to say that if you enjoyed the Imperial Books, then you'll enjoy my Darkweaver books as well. The story does have a fair bit of overlap and several of the same characters. There will be even further overlap in Traitor, as more characters from Darkweaver Legacy make their presence felt.

I hope you take time to explore Chronicles. It's an excellent site for lovers of fantasy. You should find lots of people here willing to steer you in the direction of more good fantasy reads as well. Have fun. :)

Finished Assassin a while ago. Not had a chance to comment or review- mock exams are painful. All I can say is that it was even better than Imperial Spy.

Hi Mark,

Just a quick message to say was great to see you in WH Smith, Milton Keynes yesterday. I had no idea you were going to be there and was annoyed I'd missed you in Northampton. Was a big surprise.

Anyway, not much else to say except can't wait to read Imperial Assassin... am almost unhappy my Dad decided to buy it me for Christmas... means I've got to wait another 2 weeks! (Almost) Hopefully will see you in another random store sometime in the future!

Sparker!

Great to see you as well, Sparker. It's always nice to put faces to names in this place. I've met quite a few of the characters here now. Hope you enjoy Imperial Assassin once Santa's done his job!

Best for now.

That's fantastic, Rune. Thanks for letting me know. :)

My pleasure :D

Mark,

Apologies if you've done this elsewhere, and I haven't picked up on it, but it would be great if you could let us know how you think the launch tour for Imperial Assassin went overall - how many books you reckon you sold, best venue, worst venue, strangest question asked :) , etc. etc.

The launch tour was very successful. I estimate I hand sold around 3500 books (that includes all six titles) in just over 5 weeks. When I asked S&S, they said that Imperial Assassin had been their 4th bestselling childrens' title over the period - so they were pleased. They indicated that something over 11 000 copies left the warehouse in the first month, though that is not to say that anywhere near all of those have been sold. This does compare with around 7000 in the same period with Imperial Spy, however, so the trend is going the right way.

Best venue - WH Smith Cribbs Causeway. (240 books sold in one day, and I stopped with 2 hours of trading left to go!) Strangest question ... did you really write all those books? It became funnier when I realised that the lad in question thought I had sat and typed out each individual copy - bless! :)
