1st yr yes. then drop 4 german. then drop at gcse. then drop at as level. hant dropped it yet. look gd on my cv and helps my langs and is... fun.......

You're so lucky Skip. The only languages offered at my school were Spanish and French, and they were both taught by the same teacher and she was from Panama! The funny thing is, I took Spanish, which was her native language, for 2 years and I can't even speak a whole sentence of it! LOL

my french teech does spanish and german a bit and ita;lian too io think. latin teech does ancient greek and one eng teech is an incredible linguist and can do all the european languages except 1 i think, greek, ukranian and mandarin i think.
have a lot of role models in my school!

i'm sure Latin is pretty good to learn cos even though its "dead" most of our modern languages are influenced by it... wish i'd had that choice, not just French & German

RE:latin masterclass

im going to set up something. i don't know if the forums are up for it yet. id have to do it in chitchat and prolly make it a sticky cos i know u and 2 others and possibly some people i know who might like to (i know some definates)
i have 2 teach u all advanced english 1st tho (and not skippisms)
i may make it a weekly thing with big chunks and exercises to complete (ill help don't worry)
so im undecided whether to make a thread or to cc it in email. prolly a thread. have 2 check w/ padders if my plan is ok tho. will do later unless u've got a ssec mark? put in a good word? id fgo through gramar and stuff and maybe get out my books to do some poetry and texts with you when u're gd enuf.
