Sekrit Santa II -- Let's Do This Again

I really hope nobody guesses mine. Gonna try to make it difficult! I'm on 332 words now. No idea what's going on or if there's a story... but there's no rudeness yet. So, yay!
 
I am done!! That was really fun. This is the first thing I have written in my new house and I loved doing it. I think I ended at about 3500 words so its not too long but I think I got what I wanted out of it.

Having my wife read it now and then I will do some edits.
 
Just to say -- I know I'm nothing to do with this one, but so glad you're all having fun with the idea! It's a great kick in the pants to actually write if you need it, and the prompts always get my creative juices flowing...

(I am also still reading your second book at the moment..with a move and renovations I have not had time to finish it but it is excellent so far)

I haven't even started the first... it's there looking at me in the pile...
 
How's everyone else doing? I'm joining springs in twiddling my thumbs at the mo, can't wait to see them all.

no time for thumbs *passes cake around* too much else on my plate *shows plate full of cake* see :)

i enjoyed writting mine. but when it began to look like Chapter 1 instead of a short i threw The End at it. if the recipient wants more chapters they're lurking about, so just ask.

My update:

I have benched the story I was working because it had drifted unjustifiably too far from my recipient's request and I would have felt lousy giving it. It was still near the beginning and already ~5k so would have ended up longer than my Tall Man offering of last round.

However... I've finally managed to come up with something that really nails the request so I planned the beats yesterday and will write it over the next few days. Luckily I have no classes today but I am at a Ghanaian wedding on Sat eve (which usually last 2 days... :eek:) so I'm not sure how robust my edits will be.

Colour me optmistic though :)
