Sekrit Santa II -- Let's Do This Again

I just realized my story has no title... do these need to have a title? I would just assume they do
 
Title or no title, any reasonable length (there's a lower limit of at least 1000 words, but I'd even ignore that if it's a problem and you'd rather do flash fiction); just have fun!

My not-so-secret exchange with sinister42 has taken place, our stories sent to each other.

Eight out of thirteen stories left to go, by my count.
 
Do we want to post our stories here when they're all done?
 
Goodness, hasn't the end of September come a'hurtling up!

Mine should be in the mail before I turn in tonight. Pretty pleased with how it's shaped up...just needing to 'finish off'! Seems short by comparison with some of your wordcounts!

Have to say "thanks" to Phyrebrat for getting me in on this workshop; I've enjoyed stretching myself a little further than the monthly challenges(undoubtedly gonna be helpful with my sole wip, which meanders along slowly at its' own pace...)

E-mail them to me. When I have them all (or as many as I am going to get, if people are forced to drop out due to various circumstances) I will post the opening of each, and we can guess who wrote what.

After that, if you want to attach it to a post on this forum to let other folks read it, that's fine. I did this last time, and so did a few others.
 
I have sent mine to Victoria. I did a reread and small edit.

I am looking forward to seeing if I can guess any right this time.
 
It has come to my attention that, based on what has been sent to me, I may have sent the same request to two different people. I will still be able to send a story to each person (if I get the full number of stories) but you may not get exactly what you asked for. Any such errors are 100% my fault. Sorry about that.

I found the story from Perpetual Man in my "spam" folder, so it may be that others have not been safely received. In particular, I have not received the story from stormcrow, so there must have been some problem.

As of right now, I have received stories from:

Very odd - I've sent again and if that fails I'll try to send from elsewhere tomorrow to be sure.:confused:

YAY Mystery!
There were a few who didnt get what they asked for last time as well, due to shuffling and what not. Personally I think it makes the game more fun on the guessing front.
