;) Don't blame me; I warned you in introductions.

And thanks for voting – always appreciated.

Parson's paid peeper? Plaid paper?

Parson has a paid peeper? That's rather unseemly for a man of the cloth.

Many thanks to johnnyjet for the mention, and Victoria for the review! :)

How many Parsons could a paid peeper pike...

Thanks for the mention, telford. :)

My vote went to springs; I have a soft spot for fairy rings. Blame it on my Irish grandmother and the storybooks she gave us!

Hex and Glisterspeck were very close seconds.

Honourable mention to Parson, Bob Senior, Teresa Edgerton, Boneman, Culhwch and The Judge.

First off, thank you Perp for the mention. Chrispy, I know how hard it is to make your listing so I am honored to be on it. :)

I like a lot of the stories so here it goes

Long list

Juliana - The Witching Moon
Remedy - The Horny Satyr
Parson - The Night the Music Died
Glisterspeck - I Dance
Stormcrow - Goat

Short list

Bowler1 - Lord of the Dance
Hex - One Lost Girl
Alex - The Four Dances of an Apocalypse
TDZ - The Agony of Defeat

Finalists

martin321 - The Last Dance
Culwich - One Last Dance

Well my finalists almost had the same title so that was fitting.

Martin321, this story was so well done. Just great imagery. What a cool idea!

Culwich's was just beautiful. Having been there at that moment for my mother it hit me and I pictured her somewhere dancing and free. I loved it

In the end I had to go with the one that emotionally affected me, so Culwich you get my vote

Good month everyone

Yay... short list, thank you Ratsy - and a thank you Crystal too.
There are some clear leaders, but there is also a good spread of votes taking place, which is nice.

Thank you Victoria - always enjoy your reviews!
And Thanks for the listing Ratsy! :)

Thinks...must be time for me to read all the entries again & vote. Not going to be easy!

Thank you Victoria and chris for the Shortlistings, telford and Juliana for the Honourable Mentions. Thank you especially to crystal haven for the vote!

________

And now for my short and shorter lists. My long list was very long (18 stories!), and I ought to mention that a lot of those stories* almost made the short list, and that the stories on the short and shorter lists kept shifting around. Needless to state, it was a great month for stories, and a difficult month for making any decisions.

AMB
Bowler1
TitaniumTi
The Judge
Ursa Major
Phyrebrat
Glisterspeck
Hex
Glen
The Spurring Platty

And after much thought my vote went to The Spurring Platty.

*Including Perp with his hidden message

Right - just as I thought; that wasn't easy! A nice diverse crop of tales covering all manner of mythologies.

My favourites this month:

AMB - Bowler1 - Hex - HareBrain - Abernovo - Juliana - Aun Doorback - Martin321 - Parson - Bob Senior - Boneman...

...my vote going to Crystal Haven

Oh I forgot to say thank you to Victoria for the review, I always enjoy reading them. And thank you Crystal Haven for the short listing.

Thanks for the listing, crystal haven and stormcrow. :)
