Discussion Thread - 100 Word Anon Writing Challenge for December 2014

Another note of praise and thanks to farntfar for running such a lovely challenge! Springs and Mosaix started this all off so well, and farntfar has built on their work; well done all.

You know, it seems very nice to me to have a host for a challenge..makes it, perhaps, a bit more personal and intimate than the 75 or 300 worder (more personal even though this is an anonymous challenge--seems like an oxymoron, but I hope what I'm trying to say makes sense!:)); those are wonderful challenges, of course, but I love how informal this one is. Okay, enough of my jabbering...on to the voting, and guessing! Oh! And I hope we reach 20!! :)

I had the same thought today, but couldn't think of any way to get around it. So everyone who entered will have to intentionally get 2 wrong guesses, that's the way it has to be.
 
This is really rather ridiculous.
The guessing of the authors is a game.

My own view is that you're taking it far too seriously and as such it ceases to be a game.
But if you insist I'll put another person on the list.
 
The writing and sharing and enjoying of the stories is the real Challenge, I would agree. Let's just have fun with the guessing after we vote; the guessing should just be for fun, and shouldn't be complicated at all. And I think it's kind of cool to use just the names of the people who entered for guessing, and then look to see who each author wrote down as the author of their own story, for misdirection's sake! :)

It is approaching 1 AM here, when I shall close the vote and produce the poll and the list.
I am not going to play shall we shalln't we on this now.
Tonight I'm going to produce the list with an extra name.
I suggest that you make up your minds up early for the next person who runs it.

I think it's never been a problem before, either here or in Ss. In fact, some of the fun is to plant a false trail. Leave it as it is gets my vote.

You've done a fab job, don't make extra work for yourself. :)

The 100 Word Anon Writing Challenge for December 2014 is now closed for entry.
I shall shortly produce a poll for voting.

Every member of the Chrons has one vote and is encouraged to vote, whether you have entered or not.

Voting ends five days from now, just after midnight GMT on the morning of Saturday the 20th.

I will also shortly produce a list of the entrants, plus one extra person, to avoid the entrants giving themselves away.

Thanks for volunteering for this one farntfar and thanks for an excellent job.

Do we want the next one in January (there'll be a 300 as well as the usual 75) or do we wait until February?

I wouldn't mind waiting but if the consensus is to go ahead I'll certainly put in the effort to enter all three - it's great fun. :)
