Jon Snow -- Beware of Spoilers

Re: Jon Snow

One thing that I think will have great importance in the future:

Jon has his right arm burned, Victarion's his left arm Moqquoro "healed" by fire, making it look charred.

Could it be that this way GRRM suggests "right" and "left" head of the dragon? Wouldn't be glad to see Victarion as one of the dragon heads, but one is never sure with GRRM...

Victarion has some larger role to play in the saga, he's headed for Dany, and he's coming with a fleet that I think we can all assume will break the blockade of Myreen and then transport Dany back to Westeros.

The question is what will the relationship be between Victarion nad Dany? Will he steal her? Will he immediately turn sides and join her as a follower?

Now that I think of it, Victarion reminds me a lot of Khal Drogo... I wonder if Dany will think the same.

I absolutely agree that is what he is about to do, the only way I see to break the blockade. At one time I liked him as a match for Dany, now I'm not so sure, he has gotten a little weird since Morroqo came into the picture.

Nice point! Hadn't considered that. She certainly seems attracted to fighting men.

Maybe Dany will be persuaded to convert to the worship of R'hllor. She can let her Targ heritage come out and start burning her enemies alive! :p

Re: Jon Snow

But what if Victarion isn't the real deal?

Will Dany, like Mel, end up still being on the lookout for her burns knight? (And will he have to come from north of the border?)

Re: Jon Snow

Hmmm.... I have strong suspicion that Mel is starting to develop feelings for Jon. And if Dany follows one of theories and fall in love with him, we are in for battle royale over poor Snow - IN ONE CORNER WE HAVE MELISANDRE, with her shadows, glamours and fire. IN SECOND CORNER WE HAVE DAENERYS, with her dragons, fire resistance and Unsullied.

Care to place bates anyone?

You believe that Deny and Jon should meet and bed? I would bet they wouldn't - but basically this looks like even better material for bets.

Re: Jon Snow

I'm rooting for Jaime

Here, here, I believe his growth in character might well encompass an understanding that beauty is:

In the eye of the beholder.
ephemeral and will not last.
not worth a bucket of spit.

Why wouldn't they? They are both young, beautiful and moving towards same goal - final countdown with The Others. If story crosses their paths, I see no reason for them not to be lovers, especially if Jon is indeed part Targ, incest in that family runs deep ;)

Re: Jon Snow

Incest gets a thumbs up and zombie sex a thumb down. Well at least you got standards:D

LMAO!! :D:D:D

I like the idea of Jaime and Brienne together ... and yet, somehow, I just can't see it. It all seems a bit too Mills & Boon for GRRM, you know, ugly tomboy pulls golden hunk of Westeros - watch as they frolic in meadows of wild flowers. Nah, unrequited attraction followed by a grisly death seems much more up Mr Martin's street. (Yes, I am such a romantic!) :D

I would be disappointed if they ended up together 'happily ever after', but I think some nasty ill-advised sex followed by soul-crushing regret would fit nicely. A murder of one by the other (maybe Brienne convinced that Jaime was just using her or trying to humiliate her) would bring the story back to the heart of what we love about ASoIaF.
